Teaching Assistant

Lewes (Full-Time / Part-Time)

We are looking for a caring and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school in Lewes. This role offers flexible working options, with both full-time and part-time positions available.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers to support students in the classroom and help create a positive learning environment. The role may involve working across different year groups as well as providing 1:1 support to pupils who need additional help with their learning or development.

Key responsibilities:

Supporting teaching and learning within the classroom

Providing 1:1 support for students when required

Assisting with lesson preparation and classroom activities

Encouraging student engagement and positive behaviour

Working collaboratively with teachers and other staff membersWe are looking for someone who:

Is patient, supportive, and passionate about helping young people succeed

Can adapt to working with different ages and learning needs

Has strong communication and teamwork skills

Is reliable, proactive, and committed to supporting student progressPrevious experience working in a school or with children is beneficial but not essential, as training and support can be provided.
