Freelance Site Manager – Solar Farm ProjectLocation: Near Saxmundham, Suffolk

We are seeking an experienced Freelance Site Manager to oversee the delivery of a solar farm project near Saxmundham, Suffolk.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day site operations, ensuring works are completed safely, on programme, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires a proactive individual with strong leadership skills and a solid background in construction site management.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and supervise all on-site activities.

Coordinate subcontractors and site labour.

Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Maintain site documentation and daily records.

Liaise with the client, project managers, and other stakeholders.

Monitor programme progress and resolve site issues efficiently.

Ensure quality standards are achieved throughout the project.Essential Requirements

SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme)

First Aid at Work certificate (valid)

NVQ Level 6 in Construction Site Management (or equivalent)

Proven experience as a Site Manager on construction projects.

Strong understanding of health and safety legislation.

Excellent organisational, communication, and leadership skills.

Ability to manage multiple subcontractors and maintain programme delivery.Desirable

Previous experience delivering renewable energy or solar farm projects.

Temporary Works knowledge.
