About the Role
We are seeking a reliable, organised, and enthusiastic Food Technology Technician to support our busy and successful Design & Technology department at a welcoming secondary school in Cambridgeshire.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting high-quality teaching and learning by ensuring practical food lessons run smoothly, safely, and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
Prepare ingredients, equipment, and materials for food lessons
Assist teaching staff during practical sessions where required
Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety
Order, receive, and manage stock and resources within budget
Ensure all kitchen equipment is maintained and stored correctly
Support health and safety compliance, including risk assessments
Clear away and clean practical areas after lessons

What Were Looking For
Experience working in a food preparation, catering, or school environment (desirable)
Knowledge of food hygiene and safety standards
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
A proactive, flexible, and positive approach
A relevant food safety qualification (Level 2 or above) is desirable
