Salary: £166 - £250 per day (depending on experience)

Are you a passionate and dedicated Music Teacher looking for your next exciting opportunity? GSL Education London Branch is seeking an experienced Music Teacher to join a welcoming secondary comprehensive school in Greenwich from September 2026.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a talented Music Teacher to inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4, helping them develop their musical knowledge, confidence, creativity, and performance skills. The successful Music Teacher will become part of a supportive department that values high-quality teaching, creativity, and student achievement.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Music lessons to students across KS3 and KS4.
• Inspire students to develop their practical, theoretical, and performance skills.
• Prepare students for internal assessments and GCSE examinations where required.
• Create a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment.
• Assess, monitor, and record student progress accurately.
• Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of learners with different abilities.
• Encourage participation in school concerts, performances, and musical activities.
• Work closely with colleagues, parents, and school leaders to support student achievement.
• Follow the school's behaviour, safeguarding, and curriculum policies at all times.

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Previous experience working as a Music Teacher in a UK secondary school.
• Strong subject knowledge and a passion for music education.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• Ability to motivate and inspire young people.
• A commitment to raising standards and achieving excellent student outcomes.
• A flexible, positive, and professional approach to teaching.
• An enhanced DBS certificate registered on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
