Morson Edge is currently recruiting experienced Propulsion Technicians to support a major RSAF Tornado maintenance programme in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia.
This is an excellent opportunity for aircraft propulsion specialists to join a highly experienced maintenance organisation supporting operational military aircraft within a professional and highly regulated aviation environment.
Working as part of a skilled engineering team, you will be responsible for the maintenance, inspection, fault diagnosis, repair, servicing, and testing of aircraft propulsion systems, helping to maintain aircraft availability and operational readiness across a major military aviation programme.
Whether your background is fast jet, military aviation, transport aircraft, rotary wing, or complex aircraft maintenance, this role offers the opportunity to apply your specialist engine maintenance expertise within a large-scale operational aviation environment.
Previous Tornado experience is highly desirable but not essential. Engineers with relevant aircraft propulsion, engine maintenance, or powerplant experience are encouraged to apply.

The Role
Reporting to the Propulsion Supervisor, you will carry out maintenance activities on aircraft propulsion systems, ensuring all work is completed in accordance with approved technical documentation, airworthiness requirements, and organisational procedures.
You will support aircraft availability through inspection, fault diagnosis, repair, servicing, engine changes, testing, and maintenance recovery activities while maintaining the highest standards of safety, compliance, and workmanship.
The role requires a sound understanding of aircraft engine maintenance practices and the ability to operate effectively within a structured military aviation environment supporting operational aircraft readiness.
Key Responsibilities
Aircraft Propulsion Maintenance
Carry out maintenance, servicing, and repair activities on aircraft propulsion systems
Perform engine removal, installation, and functional testing
Conduct fault diagnosis and rectification in accordance with approved technical documentation
Carry out inspection of engines, components, and associated systems
Support and conduct ground runs and post-maintenance checks where authorised
Ensure compliance with airworthiness and regulatory requirements
Support aircraft serviceability and operational readiness
Assist with scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities
Maintain accurate maintenance documentation and certification records
Training & Development
Maintain valid and current authorisations relevant to assigned tasks
Support training activities and provide technical guidance where required
Assist with the development of trainee technicians
Proactively identify training requirements for self and others
Quality & Safety
Maintain compliance with technical publications and approved maintenance procedures
Support FOD prevention and housekeeping standards
Adhere to all Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) and Product Safety requirements
Ensure all maintenance documentation is completed accurately and on time
Promote safe working practices within the maintenance environment
Essential Qualifications & Experience
Completion of a recognised Aircraft Engineering Apprenticeship (Mechanical, Aeronautical, or equivalent)
Demonstrable experience in aircraft propulsion or engine maintenance
Strong understanding of aircraft engine systems and maintenance practices
Experience in fault finding, diagnostics, and corrective maintenance
Ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical manuals, and maintenance publications
Experience working within military or commercial aviation maintenance environments
Current driving licence
Desirable Experience
Tornado aircraft experience
Fast Jet propulsion maintenance experience
Military aviation experience
Engine ground running authorisations
Experience supporting aircraft servicing, inspections, modifications, and maintenance activities
Experience working within regulated maintenance organisations
