SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Edgbaston, Birmingham B16
Daily Rate: £(Apply online only)
Days: Monday to Friday (Term Time Only), 08:30 - 15:45
Start Date: September 1st 2026
Contract: Long-Term temporary, Temp to Perm, multiple positions available
Looking for a rewarding SEN role where you can make a genuine difference every day? Long Term Futures are recruiting on behalf of a welcoming primary school with a well-established specialist resource base, supporting pupils with a range of additional needs in a structured, nurturing environment.
Working alongside an experienced SEN team, you'll provide tailored support that helps children develop academically, socially and emotionally.
Responsibilities:
Supporting pupils with Autism, SLCN, SEMH and other additional needs.
Delivering personalised learning and intervention sessions.
Helping pupils work towards EHCP targets.
Encouraging independence, confidence and positive behaviour.
Working collaboratively with teachers, the SENCO and therapists where required.What We're Looking For:
Previous experience supporting pupils with Autism, SLCN, SEMH or additional needs.
Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills.
Experience delivering SEND support in a primary or SEN setting
A patient, proactive and nurturing approach.
