English Teacher

A large secondary school based in Ealing is looking for an English Teacher.

The school is seeking someone to start in September on a long-term contract initially until Christmas, with the possibility of extending beyond this.

This position is 4 days per week, with working hours from 8:30am to 3:30pm.

Salary will be paid in line with the Inner London MPS/UPS pay scale.

The school has onsite parking available.

Deliver engaging and high-quality English lessons that develop students' reading, writing, speaking and analytical skills, ensuring they make excellent progress.

Inspire students through the study of literature and language, encouraging creativity, critical thinking and confidence in communication.

Support students of all abilities by creating an inclusive learning environment where every learner is challenged and encouraged to succeed.

Foster a positive, safe and respectful classroom culture that promotes high expectations, excellent behaviour and a love of learning.

Qualifications and Person Specification:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

A relevant English degree or related qualification.

Excellent subject knowledge with the ability to inspire and motivate students.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

A positive, approachable and supportive teaching style.

A commitment to raising standards and helping all students achieve their potential.M1-M6 salaries are aligned to experience within the Main Pay Range. Teachers typically progress annually from M1 through to M6. UPS appointments require formal application. TLR payments may be available for agreed, sustained additional responsibilities outside of regular teaching.
