SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Edgbaston, Birmingham B16
Daily Rate: (Apply online only)
Days: Monday to Friday (Term Time Only), 08:30 - 15:45
Start Date: September 1st 2026
Contract: Long-Term temporary, Temp to Perm, multiple positions available

Looking for a rewarding SEN role where you can make a genuine difference every day? Long Term Futures are recruiting on behalf of a welcoming primary school with a well-established specialist resource base, supporting pupils with a range of additional needs in a structured, nurturing environment.

Working alongside an experienced SEN team, you'll provide tailored support that helps children develop academically, socially and emotionally.

Responsibilities:

• Supporting pupils with Autism, SLCN, SEMH and other additional needs.
• Delivering personalised learning and intervention sessions.
• Helping pupils work towards EHCP targets.
• Encouraging independence, confidence and positive behaviour.
• Working collaboratively with teachers, the SENCO and therapists where required.

What We're Looking For:

• Previous experience supporting pupils with Autism, SLCN, SEMH or additional needs.
• Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills.
• Experience delivering SEND support in a primary or SEN setting
• A patient, proactive and nurturing approach.
• Understanding of safeguarding and inclusive practice.
