Primary Teaching Assistant - Doncaster

Academics, an established Education Agency, are acting as an agency and are currently recruiting a Primary Teaching Assistant to work on a temporary, flexible ongoing basis across a variety of welcoming and supportive primary schools throughout Doncaster.

This Primary Teaching Assistant role offers the opportunity to work across EYFS, KS1 and KS2, supporting pupils with their learning and development. Some placements may also include supporting children with additional needs within mainstream classrooms.

Position: Primary Teaching Assistant
Location: Doncaster, South Yorkshire
Contract: Temporary, flexible ongoing supply
Pay: 92.56 - 95 per day (paid via PAYE, no umbrella company fees, inclusive of holiday pay, dependent on experience, training, qualifications and client rate available)
Start Date: ASAP or a start date that works for you

About the Role

As a Primary Teaching Assistant in Doncaster, you will work alongside class teachers to support pupils in accessing learning, building confidence and achieving their potential.

The Primary Teaching Assistant role in Doncaster may involve classroom support, small group interventions and occasional 1:1 support, including assisting pupils with additional educational needs within mainstream primary schools.

Key Responsibilities

• Support teaching and learning across EYFS, KS1 and KS2
• Deliver small group and individual interventions
• Promote positive behaviour and pupil engagement
• Assist with classroom preparation and organisation
• Support pupils' academic, social and emotional development
• Follow safeguarding and school policies at all times

Candidate Requirements

• Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification desirable
• Previous experience working with children within schools or childcare settings
• Positive, patient and reliable approach
• Enhanced DBS Certificate (or willingness to obtain one)
