Higher level Teaching Assistant Year 3 Sailsbury
Start Date: September 2026
Contract: Long-term with the potential to become permanent
Salary: £90 £130 per day (Dependent on experience)
Hours: 08:30 3:30
Location: Close to Salisbury centre

We are looking for an experienced HLTA or an ECT looking for a middle step before they have their first class, to work in an Ofsted rated Good school with a fantastic reputation for inclusion. The school boasts well behaved children and a supportive and established staff.

This role would be to take groups of up to 20 children out for core lessons completion during the morning and then have up to 20 children each afternoon for foundation subject teaching (planning included).

You must have an HLTA qualification to apply for this role. This would be an excellent role for an ECT looking to take their first steps into teaching.

• Taking children to complete core activities after the main intervention is given by the class teacher
• Running foundational subject classes during the afternoon
• Be responsible for the marking of work and assessment feedback to the class teacher
• Assisting teaching staff with adapting learning resources to suit individual needs.
• Encouraging students to build independence, confidence, and resilience.
• Supporting the smooth running of the classroom and fostering a positive learning environment.
• Excellent classroom management skills

• A qualified HLTA- or an ECT
• Experience supporting children with some additional needs
