Teaching Assistant (x2 Positions Available) - September Start

Location: Grantham and surrounding areas
Rate: .58 per day (Depending on Experience)
Contract: Full-Time, Long-Term (5 days per week)
Hours: Monday - Friday, 08:30 - 15:30
Start Date: September 2026

About the Role

Simply Education is recruiting two Teaching Assistants to join a welcoming primary school in the Grantham area from September 2026. These are full-time, long-term positions for the entire academic year, offering an excellent opportunity to become a valued member of a supportive school community.

This is primarily a general classroom support role, with very little 1:1 support required. Working alongside the class teacher, you will help deliver engaging lessons, support pupils' learning and development, encourage positive behaviour, and contribute to a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

Requirements

• Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a primary school setting
• A recognised Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable but not essential with relevant classroom experience
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A positive, proactive and adaptable approach
• A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development
• Eligibility to work in the UK
• Willingness to complete all relevant safeguarding and compliance checks

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality classroom support across lessons
• Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging learning activities
• Encourage pupil participation, confidence and independence
• Support behaviour management and promote a positive learning environment
• Help prepare classroom resources and learning materials
• Work collaboratively with teaching staff to ensure pupils achieve their full potential
