Electrician – Inspection & Testing | Leicester | £28.00 per Hour + Overtime | Immediate Start

Electrician Required – Leicester / Leicestershire

Are you an experienced Electrician looking for your next long-term contract in Leicester?

We are currently recruiting for an Electrician to join a well-established electrical team carrying out fixed wire inspection and testing across large industrial sites. This is an excellent opportunity for an Electrician with Inspection & Testing experience who is looking for consistent work, excellent overtime opportunities and the use of a company van.

This role is primarily based in Leicester (Bardon Hill, Leicestershire), with occasional travel to other sites across the Midlands.

What's on Offer

* £28.00 per hour (CIS)

* Enhanced overtime rates (OT1 & OT2)

* Night shift allowances

* Initial 3-month contract with the potential for extension

* 40 hours per week

* Company van and fuel card provided

Working Hours

The successful Electrician will typically work:

* Monday to Thursday

* 8:00pm – 6:00am (4 x 10-hour night shifts)

* Weekend work available during planned shutdowns (normally 1–2 weekends per month)

* Plenty of overtime available

The Role

As an Electrician, you'll be responsible for carrying out fixed wire inspection and testing on industrial electrical installations to ensure compliance with current regulations.

Your duties will include:

* Electrical Inspection & Testing to BS7671

* Producing Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs)

* Working on large industrial sites including quarries and manufacturing facilities

* Identifying electrical defects and reporting findings

* Working safely in line with site procedures and health & safety regulations

* Travelling to customer sites across Leicester and the Midlands when required

* Working independently and alongside experienced Inspection & Testing Electricians

Essential Requirements

To be considered, you must have:

* Qualified Electrician status

* City & Guilds 2391 Inspection & Testing (or equivalent)

* 18th Edition Wiring Regulations

* Valid ECS Card

* Previous experience completing EICRs and fixed wire testing

* Industrial electrical experience preferred

* Full UK Driving Licence

* Ability to work nights and occasional weekends

The following are desirable but can be obtained if required:

* Emergency First Aid at Work

* UKATA Asbestos Awareness
