📍 Full-Time | Monday-Thursday 08:00-16:30, Friday 08:00-15:30

What You'll Do:

As a Costing Technician, you will play a crucial role in liaising with various departments, including External and Internal Sales, Technical Services, and Purchasing. Your primary focus will be to prepare accurate and competitive quotations in response to customer RFQs.

Key Responsibilities:

Analyse RFQs: Dive into customer requests and documentation to determine technical requirements for generating detailed quotations.

Review Technical Documents: Utilise your ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and Bills of Materials, with a solid understanding of electrical components.

Supplier Engagement: Collaborate with the Purchasing Department to gather accurate material pricing and lead times from suppliers.

Component Specification: Identify and apply correct component specifications or approved alternatives, while prioritising Group materials.

IT Proficiency: Navigate ERP systems and specialised quoting software effectively to streamline the quoting process.

Costing Calculations: Maintain commercial awareness and ensure all quotations align with margin targets set by the External Sales Department.

Documentation: Follow established procedures to ensure accurate recording and communication in line with the organisation's Quality Management system.

Attention to Detail: Demonstrate precision in all costings, documentation, and quotations.

Time Management: Exhibit strong organisational skills to consistently meet deadlines.

Team Collaboration: Work effectively with colleagues across departments to achieve shared goals.

Continuous Improvement: Bring your experience in Quality Management Systems (e.g., ISO 9001:2015) to foster a culture of continuous improvement.What We're Looking For:

Proficiency in reading engineering drawings and Bills of Materials.
