Daily Rate: £90 - £120 (dependant on experience)

Teaching Assistant - Complex Needs School

We are seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and resilient Teaching Assistant to join a specialist SEND school in RM3 from September. This rewarding role involves supporting pupils with a range of complex needs, helping them to access learning, develop independence, and achieve their full potential in a safe and nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with complex SEND needs.

Assist teachers in delivering engaging and accessible learning activities.

Support pupils with communication, social, emotional, and behavioural development.

Help implement individual education plans (EHCP targets) and behaviour support strategies.

Assist with personal care where required.

Encourage pupil participation, confidence, and independence throughout the school day.

Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, parents, and other professionals.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

Experience working with children or young people with SEND, particularly complex needs.

A patient, caring, and positive approach.

Strong communication and teamwork skills.

The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.

A willingness to support personal care needs where necessary.
