Storage & Backup Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Backup & Recovery Engineer to join our global financial services client. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the operational stability, supportability, and resilience of their enterprise-wide backup and recovery environments.

Key Responsibilities:
Ensure the stability, performance, and supportability of global backup and recovery platforms through routine operational checks and adherence to data retention and lifecycle policies.
Oversee product lifecycle management, including patching, upgrades, decommissioning, and capacity planning to support long-term infrastructure investment.
Design, test, and improve monitoring, alerting, and automation for backup environments; ensure compliance with policies and standards.
Manage backup configuration, including onboarding/decommissioning servers, setting policies, and conducting Operational Acceptance Testing (OAT).
Deliver projects within scope, schedule, and budget, aligned with IT and business objectives.
Required Skills & Experience:

Deep expertise in Backup & Recovery technologies, especially:
enterprise backup platform
enterprise backup platform (enterprise backup platform).
Strong knowledge of enterprise backup architecture, installation/configuration of backup tools, and troubleshooting performance or stability issues.
Proven experience supporting large-scale backup environments (enterprise backup platform or enterprise backup platform).
Proficiency in at least one enterprise OS (e.g., desktop operating system, Linux, AIX) and in creating technical documentation and best practice processes.
