Job Title: Shuttering Joiner / Formwork Carpenter

Location: Newcastle upon Tyne

Salary: £25.00 per hour (CIS)

Job Type: Full-time, Contract, Subcontract

Expected Hours: 40-50 hours per week (Monday to Friday)

Start Date: Immediate

Position Overview: We are a premier RC Frame and Civil Engineering contractor actively hiring experienced, time-served Shuttering Joiners for a major structural development in Newcastle.

This is not a short-term agency placement. We have a secured, long-term pipeline of work on this project, offering genuine job security, high weekly hours, and consistent, reliable income.

Key Responsibilities:

System Formwork: Assemble, erect, and strike proprietary modular systems (PERI, DOKA, RMD).

Traditional Shuttering: Fabricate and build bespoke timber shuttering, bulkheads, and edge shutters from structural drawings.

Prep Work: Install holding down bolts, anchor boxes, water-bars, and screed rails.

Quality & Precision: Work alongside site engineers to ensure all formwork is perfectly aligned, plumb, and watertight prior to concrete pours.

Required Criteria:

Experience: Minimum 3+ years of dedicated experience in shuttering/formwork on RC frames or major civil projects.

Cards: Valid CSCS Card (Blue Skilled Worker preferred).

Tax Status: Must be registered under the Construction Industry Scheme (CIS) with a valid UTR number.

Tools: Own full toolkit for heavy formwork (cordless/110v power tools and hand tools).

Reliability: Strong work ethic, punctual, and a strict focus on on-site health & safety.
