We are seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join our specialist school in Chelmsford. This is a rewarding opportunity to support children and young people with a range of special educational needs, helping them to achieve their full potential both academically and personally.
Working closely with teachers, therapists, and other professionals, you will play a vital role in creating a positive, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment where every pupil can thrive.

Key Responsibilities
Support pupils with a variety of Special Educational Needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, Speech and Language Needs, and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
Assist teachers in delivering engaging and differentiated learning activities.
Provide one-to-one and small-group support tailored to individual education plans.
Encourage independence, confidence, and positive behaviour.
Support pupils with personal care where required.
Help create a safe, positive, and stimulating learning environment.
Build strong relationships with pupils, families, and colleagues.
Record and report on pupil progress and wellbeing.

About You
We are looking for someone who:
Has experience working with children or young people with SEND (preferred but not essential).
Is patient, caring, resilient, and adaptable.
Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Can remain calm under pressure and respond positively to challenges.
Has a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.
Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Holds GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
