Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity in St Albans, UK for a Graduate Civil Engineer to join our Highways, Active Travel and Infrastructure team.
the organisation is an internationally recognised leader in highway consultancy, providing clients with services including planning, design, project management and asset management. Our award-winning Highways team is at the forefront of digital design and delivery, including Building Information Modelling (BIM) and continues to lead innovative design for major UK infrastructure projects and asset renewals.
Our expanding Highways division comprises more than 700 employees across 23 offices in seven countries in Europe. There are many exciting opportunities for graduates to join our UK and Ireland teams, supporting projects across the UK, Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
The Highways team delivers a wide range of projects for funding agencies, national and local governments, highways authorities and private organisations. Our graduates gain exposure to projects from concept and feasibility studies through to construction and operation, taking on roles in design, project management, stakeholder engagement, business innovation, contract administration and technical/site assurance.
What we’re looking for
We are seeking ambitious, hardworking and enthusiastic Civil Engineering graduates with strong computational, mathematical, problem-solving, communication and design skills. Successful applicants will use industry-leading software and BIM tools while gaining exposure to key areas such as:
Highway and streetscape design.
Transportation economics and planning.
Feasibility and corridor studies.
Environmental assessments
Traffic management planning
Pavement and drainage design.
Utility relocation
Vulnerability and security systems.
Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS)
Detailed design
Our graduates will also have the opportunity to work across both Traffic Engineering and Highways projects, ensuring broad technical training and varied career development.
