Safran Electronics & Defence provides onboard intelligence and actuation solutions, enabling customers to observe, decide and guide across land, sea, air and space in both civil and defence sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement quality methodologies to evaluate and control systems in compliance with Quality Management System (QMS) standards.
- Utilise APQP and PPAP tools to support product development, including:
- Supporting Product and Process Risk Analysis tools (PFMEA).
- Assessing process flow charts and process plans.
- Developing Control Plans for prototype builds and full-rate production.
- Evaluating Measurement Systems (MSA).
- Conducting Process Capability Studies (Pro-Cert / SPC).
- Compiling measurement reports, including First Article Inspection (FAI) and PPAP submissions.
- Providing quality deliverables for Work Transfer Gate reviews.
- Reviewing manufacturing processes (MPR).
Candidate Profile
Essential Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Quality Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a related discipline.
- Certification in Quality Engineering (e.g. CQE) or relevant quality management systems (e.g. ISO 9001 auditor).
- Proven experience in quality engineering, with a strong focus on quality assurance within manufacturing environments.
- Direct experience managing work transfer projects, demonstrating success in maintaining or enhancing quality standards during transitions.
Desirable Experience
- Advanced knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma, with a proven track record of driving quality and efficiency improvements.
- Familiarity with international quality standards and capability to manage quality across diverse geographical and regulatory environments.
- Proficiency in quality-related software tools and advanced data analysis skills.
- Strong project management skills, with experience leading quality projects across cross-functional teams.
