Academics is delighted to be working in partnership with a leading independent school in Dacorum to recruit an inspiring and dedicated Drama Teacher for a one-year fixed-term contract starting in September 2026.

The successful candidate will deliver engaging Drama lessons across the secondary age range, inspiring students to develop their performance skills, confidence and passion for theatre.

The Role

As a Drama Teacher, you will:

• Deliver high-quality Drama lessons that engage and challenge students.
• Plan, prepare and assess lessons in line with the curriculum.
• Foster a creative and inclusive classroom environment where every student can thrive.
• Encourage students to develop confidence, collaboration and communication through performance.
• Contribute to productions, performances and the wider life of the Performing Arts department.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain high standards of teaching and learning.

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will have:

• Qualified Teacher Status or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching Drama at secondary level.
• A passion for inspiring young people through the performing arts.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• The ability to motivate students of all abilities and backgrounds.
• A commitment to delivering engaging, high-quality lessons.
