Food Tech Teacher Secondary School Full-time Long-term Supply

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking an experienced Food Technology Teacher for a long-term supply position starting in September 2026 at a successful secondary academy in Oldham.

Due to the practical nature of Food Technology lessons, QTS is essential for this role. The successful candidate must be a qualified teacher with experience delivering safe, engaging, and effective practical lessons.

The Role:

• Food Technology Teacher / Food Tech Teacher
• Full-time position (Monday to Friday)
• Teaching Food Technology at KS3 level
• Planning and marking included, with allocated PPA time within the timetable
• Delivering engaging practical lessons in Food Preparation & Nutrition
• Supporting with general cover duties when required around the timetable

• Rated "Good" by Ofsted (June 2022)

The Ideal Candidate:

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - essential
• Experienced Food Technology / Design Technology Teacher
• Confident teaching KS3 Food Technology
• Strong classroom management skills
• Able to plan, deliver and assess high-quality lessons
• Available full-time from September 2026
