Responsibilities:
Reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and building plans.
Laying bricks, blocks, or stone in accordance with specified patterns and alignments.
Measuring out spaces and marking guidelines using string lines, levels, and plumb lines.
Mixing mortar by hand or with mechanical mixers.
Ensuring bricks are laid evenly and to required specifications, including strength and aesthetics.
Cutting bricks to size using hammers, chisels, or power tools.
Repairing or replacing damaged brickwork or pointing.
Collaborating with other tradespeople such as labourers, plasterers, and site supervisors.
Ensuring health and safety procedures are followed at all times on site.
