Rolling Stock Mechanical & Electrical Fitters

Location: Various UK Locations

Rate: Competitive LTD Company rates (Negotiable DOE)

Contract: Long-term Contract Opportunities

Hours: Monday to Friday | Days | Approximately 50 hours per week

CETO Talent is currently recruiting experienced Rolling Stock Mechanical Fitters and Rolling Stock Electrical Fitters for a number of exciting long-term rail projects across the UK.

Working on behalf of a specialist rail engineering client, we're looking to speak with contractors who have experience working within rolling stock, train maintenance or rail depot environments. These projects will support fleet maintenance, modifications and upgrades across multiple UK locations, providing long-term work and the opportunity to move between programmes as projects progress.

The Role

As a Mechanical or Electrical Fitter, you'll play a key role in maintaining, modifying and upgrading rolling stock and freight vehicles, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards.

Depending on your discipline, responsibilities will include:

* Mechanical or electrical installation, maintenance and modification of rolling stock

* Removal, replacement and refitting of components, assemblies and electrical systems

* Reading engineering drawings, schematics and work instructions

* Carrying out inspections, testing and fault finding

* Working safely within rail depot environments while complying with engineering and health & safety standards

What We're Looking For

To be successful, you'll ideally have:

* Previous experience working within a Rolling Stock, Train Maintenance or Rail Depot environment

* NVQ Level 3 (or Level 2 with relevant experience) in a Mechanical or Electrical discipline

* Experience using engineering drawings, work instructions and method statements

* A strong understanding of health & safety within rail environments

* Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to quality
