Learning Support Assistant, Basingstoke

SEN School - 5-16 years - ASC

September Start - full-time, term-time - temp to perm contract

Academics are recruiting on behalf of a warm and nurturing, purpose built SEN School in Basingstoke which caters for children between the ages of 5-16 years with a primary diagnosis of Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC).

As a Learning Support Assistant you will be supporting pupils aged 5 - 16 years with Autism and other associated needs such as challenging behaviour's and speech and language difficulties. This a very challenging yet rewarding role. You will be required to support learners in a group and individual basis working 1:1.

Due to the nature of the setting, this role is suited to an experienced Learning Support Assistant who has recent experience of supporting children with special educational needs, ideally within an SEN school.

To be considered for the role of Learning Support Assistant, you must:

Be proactive, resilient, empathetic and enjoy getting stuck in!

Have recent experience in supporting children with special needs in a school or care setting.

Be available full-time, term-time from September

Ideally be based in Basingstoke or be willing to travel to Basingstoke to work.
