Location: South Shields & surrounding areas

Pay Rate: £24.00 per hour (CIS)

The Opportunity

Search Consultancy is looking for a skilled and reliable Plumber to join our construction operations in South Shields. We are partnering with an established contractor on a high-spec commercial/residential project that demands clean installation work and high professional standards.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified trades person who takes pride in their pipework and wants a consistent, well-paying run of local work with an organised site management team.

Your Role & Responsibilities

Working on a fast-paced development in South Shields, you will be responsible for:

1st & 2nd Fix Plumbing: Installing copper and plastic pipework, hot and cold water systems, sanitary ware, and drainage.

Blueprint Accuracy: Reading and interpreting mechanical drawings to map out system installations accurately.

Testing & Commissioning: Carrying out soundness tests, pressure testing installations, and identifying/rectifying any system faults.

Material Management: Estimating required materials for upcoming tasks to minimise waste and avoid project delays.

Safety & Quality: Adhering strictly to building regulations and site-specific health and safety policies.

What We're Looking For

Blue CSCS Card (Skilled Worker): A valid plumbing CSCS card is a mandatory requirement.

Qualifications: NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing and Domestic Heating (or equivalent).

Tools & Transport: Must have a full kit of first-class plumbing tools and standard 5-point PPE.

Proven Experience: Solid track record working on commercial, industrial, or large-scale residential build sites.

Right to Work: Must have a valid right to work in the UK.
