Job Title: Nursery Assistant

Salary: £14.25 - £14.50 per hour

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a welcoming Flying Start setting in Newport that is committed to providing a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment where children can thrive. The setting promotes high-quality early years education through play-based learning and works closely with families to support every child's development.

The setting is looking to appoint a Level 3 qualified Nursery Assistant on a full-time, term-time only basis for one academic year, starting in September. The successful Nursery Assistant will support children across the early years, helping to deliver engaging activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Phase while ensuring every child receives outstanding care and encouragement throughout the day.

The successful Nursery Assistant will have:

• Level 3 Childcare qualification
• Experience working within an early years or nursery setting
• Good knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Phase framework
• A caring, patient and enthusiastic approach
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• A positive, can-do attitude and willingness to support across the setting
