As a General Cover Teacher, you will deliver high-quality learning across the primary age range, ensuring continuity of education while class teachers are absent or undertaking leadership, planning, and professional development responsibilities.

Whether covering a single day or a longer period, you will play an important role in maintaining a calm, engaging, and inclusive learning environment where every child is encouraged to achieve their best.

About the Role

The successful candidate will:

Teach planned lessons across the primary curriculum from Reception to Year 6.

Foster a positive classroom culture built on high expectations and mutual respect.

Inspire pupils through engaging and well-paced teaching.

Respond effectively to the varying needs of learners, ensuring all children are supported and challenged.

Assess learning during lessons and provide clear feedback to class teachers.

Work collaboratively with colleagues to promote the school's values and high standards.We Are Looking for Someone Who:

Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

Is an excellent classroom practitioner with strong knowledge of the primary curriculum.

Can confidently teach across a range of year groups.

Has excellent behaviour management skills and builds positive relationships with pupils.

Is organised, flexible, and able to adapt quickly to different classroom environments.

Is committed to providing an inclusive education where every child can flourish.
