Machine Operator
Location: Braintree, Essex
Pay: 12.71ph during training, rising to 15.25ph once moved onto the late shift
Hours: Late shift - 4pm-12am (training will be on a day shift)
Job Type: Ongoing Temporary

We are currently recruiting for a Machine Operator to join a specialist manufacturer in Braintree. This is an excellent ongoing opportunity for someone with previous production or manufacturing experience who is looking for a long-term role with full training provided.

Successful applicants will complete approximately 6 weeks of training on the day shift before moving onto the permanent late shift, where the hourly rate increases to 15.25ph.

Duties will include:

• Operating specialist production machinery
• Feeding materials into machines and monitoring the production process
• Minding machines to ensure they are running efficiently
• Carrying out regular quality checks on finished products
• Removing completed products from the production line
• Recording production information accurately
• Reporting any machine or product issues to the supervisor
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised work area
• Working to production targets while maintaining quality standards
• Following all company health & safety procedures

The successful candidate will have:

• Previous experience operating or tending machinery within a manufacturing environment
• A good eye for detail and quality
• The ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
• A reliable attitude and willingness to learn
• Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team

Hours:

• Training: Monday to Friday, 10:00am - 6:00pm (approximately 6 weeks)

• Permanent Shift: Monday to Friday, 4:00pm - 12:00am
