TeacherActive is proud to be working with a Local Authority to recruit a dedicated Primary Home Tutor to provide 1:1 tuition for a primary-aged child in Stourport. This rewarding opportunity offers the chance to make a real difference by delivering personalised learning that supports both academic progress and confidence in a supportive home environment.

The Local Authority is looking to appoint a Primary Home Tutor on a long-term basis from September, providing 15 hours of tuition per week. The successful Primary Home Tutor will plan and deliver engaging, tailored lessons to meet the individual needs of a child with Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), adapting teaching strategies to promote progress, independence and positive outcomes.

The successful Primary Home Tutor will have:

• QTS or relevant UK recognised teaching qualification
• Experience supporting primary-aged children with Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD)
• Experience delivering personalised or 1:1 learning programmes
• Strong behaviour management and communication skills
• A patient, adaptable and compassionate approach
• The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and families
