Science Teacher with General Cover

Location: Horsham

Contract: Full Time – Long term Mat Cover 

Salary:  £140 - £240.71 (Depending on Experience) 

Are you looking for a flexible and rewarding role in education? Supply Desk is seeking dynamic a Science Teacher, needed to work in a Secondary School in Horsham. This is a long term, Mat cover role. 

What Will You Do as a Science Teacher? 

As a Science Teacher, you’llbe responsible for: 

Supervising students during Science and sometime other lesson times when the teacher is absent, ensuring a positive and productive learning environment. 

Managing classroom behaviour and maintaining focus, using effective strategies to encourage engagement. 

Supporting students’ academic progress by following lesson plans and ensuring students complete their tasks. 

Offering one-on-one or small group support as needed, ensuring every student is supported in their learning. 

Reporting on students’ progress and any issues to the relevant staff. 

Who We’re Looking For? 

We’re looking for enthusiastic and adaptable individuals who: 

Have experience working with secondary school-aged students, Must be confident with teaching and be able to step into the role.

Have excellent classroom management skills and the ability to maintain a positive learning environment. 

Are flexible and willing to work in a range of school environments and on different assignment types. 

Are reliable, approachable, and able to engage students effectively. 

Have a can-do attitude and a passion for supporting students’ learning.

Looking for M2 - M6 level of experience.
