About the Role:
As Assistant or Deputy Headteacher, you'll work at the heart of an experienced strategic leadership team, driving school improvement, championing inclusive practice, and ensuring that every student - however complex their needs - receives an education that is enriching, challenging, and deeply personalised. You'll bring strategic vision, operational expertise, and the kind of leadership that inspires both staff and students to be the best version of themselves.
What We're Looking For:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with substantial experience in a SEND or specialist school setting
Proven leadership experience at middle or senior level - ideally within special education
A deep and current understanding of SEND legislation, EHCP processes, and inclusive practice
Inspirational leadership style with the ability to motivate, develop, and hold staff to account
Strategic thinker with strong analytical and organisational skills
Experience across a range of complex need profiles including ASD, SEMH, PMLD, and MLD
A track record of driving school improvement and raising outcomes for vulnerable learnersTo Be Eligible You Must:
Hold Right to Work in the UK
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Have an enhanced DBS certificate already on the update service or be willing to apply for a new one
Provide two professional references from child-related roles
Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
