What You’ll Do
The successful candidate will be a hands-on engineer who thrives in tackling complex technical tasks and is experienced with optimising and supporting a highly available IT infrastructure.
This role requires good technical and communications skills and a passion for the latest technology. The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of applied experience as a desktop operating system Systems Engineer that includes the deployment, monitoring and support of secure desktop operating system Servers running business-critical application platforms.
Deploy and support enterprise desktop operating system Server 2012-2022 and productivity suite solutions (identity management service, email platform, Endpoint Manager, collaboration platform, Conditional Access) to meet organizational needs and following best practices
Manage and optimise the desktop operating system server estate, focusing on on-prem infrastructure based on virtualisation platform/hyperconverged infrastructure platform AHV and also cloud infrastructure platforms (public cloud platform / public cloud platform)
Perform system maintenance, such as applying patches and updates to ensure availability, optimal performance and security of IT infrastructure
Monitor system performance and proactively identify/resolve issues
Maintain detailed documentation of system setup, configuration, procedures and change
Implement and manage security platforms including endpoint protection and patch management to protect data and shared IT infrastructure
Manage backup solutions to ensure data recovery and resiliency
Work as part of the Infrastructure and Systems the team to plan and execute larger IT projects, such as system upgrades, migrations, and deployments
What You’ll Need
Solid experience as a desktop operating system System Administrator; deploying and supporting enterprise desktop operating system Server 2012-2022 and productivity suite solutions with email platform, collaboration platform, collaboration platform, Endpoint Manager and Conditional Access.
Solid understanding of identity management service Services.
Solid understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, LAN/WAN.
Scripting skills are desirable for automating routine tasks and deployments.
Good knowledge of public cloud platform Infrastructure and open-source operating system administration is desirable.
Financial markets / services experience.
