The Opportunity

Search Consultancy is looking for an experienced and qualified Plumber to join our team for a long-term project in South Shields. We are partnering with a leading contractor on a major development that offers excellent project longevity and stable weekly hours.

If you are looking to step away from short-term "stop-gap" jobs and want to settle into a well-run, long-term contract with a consistent 38-hour week on CIS terms, this is the perfect opportunity for you.

Your Role & Responsibilities

Working on a large-scale project in South Shields, you will be responsible for:

1st & 2nd Fix Installations: Installing commercial or domestic copper and plastic pipework, sanitaryware, drainage, and water systems.

System Testing: Carrying out soundness and pressure testing across all new installations to ensure full compliance.

Blueprint Translation: Reading and interpreting mechanical drawings to map out and execute runs accurately.

Material Management: Coordinating with the site management team to manage materials efficiently and avoid project downtime.

Safety & Standards: Maintaining clean, high-quality workmanship while adhering strictly to site health and safety protocols.

What We're Looking For

Blue CSCS Card (Skilled Worker): A valid plumbing CSCS card is a mandatory requirement.

Qualifications: NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing and Domestic Heating (or equivalent recognised trade qualification).

Reliability: Looking for a tradesperson committed to a stable, long-term run of work with excellent punctuality.

Tools & PPE: Must have a comprehensive kit of professional plumbing tools and standard 5-point PPE.

Right to Work: Must have a valid right to work in the UK.
