SEN Teaching Assistant – Inclusive Primary School | Lewisham

A thriving and highly regarded primary school in Lewisham is looking to appoint an SEN Teaching Assistant for a September start. This full-time opportunity is ideal for a graduate who is considering a future in teaching, Educational Psychology, Speech and Language Therapy or another child-focused profession and wants meaningful classroom experience before taking the next step. What You'll Be Doing:

* Supporting pupils with a range of special educational needs both in class and through targeted interventions

* Delivering 1:1 support that helps children engage confidently with learning

* Assisting teachers in adapting activities to meet individual learning needs

* Encouraging positive behaviour and promoting pupils' independence throughout the school day

* Working collaboratively with teachers, therapists and parents to support pupil progress

* Monitoring development and contributing to individual support strategies

Ideal Candidate for this Lewisham School:

* A high-achieving graduate with an excellent academic background

* Holds a degree from a recognised university, with a strong record of academic achievement

* Keen to pursue a career in teaching, Educational Psychology, Speech and Language Therapy or child development
