The successful candidate will be teaching a Year 5/6 class, where pupils are working at Early Years to Year 1 developmental levels.

This is a rewarding role for a nurturing and creative teacher who is passionate about supporting children with additional needs and helping every pupil achieve their full potential through a personalised, engaging curriculum.

The Role

Teach a small Year 5/6 class of pupils working at Early Years to Year 1 learning levels.

Deliver a highly differentiated, sensory and communication-focused curriculum tailored to individual learning needs.

Support pupils' communication, social interaction, emotional regulation, and independence.

Work closely with experienced Teaching Assistants, Speech and Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and the wider multidisciplinary team.

Use or be willing to develop knowledge of communication strategies such as Makaton, PECS, visual timetables, and AAC.

Create a safe, engaging, and nurturing classroom where every child can thrive.

About You

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

Experience teaching pupils with Special Educational Needs, particularly Autism and complex learning needs, is desirable.

A patient, adaptable, and compassionate teacher with a genuine passion for inclusive education.

Strong classroom management and the ability to differentiate learning effectively.

Available to start in September and able to interview immediately.
