Science Teacher

Location: Cardiff

Start Date: September 2026

Contract: Full-Time | Monday to Friday | 8:15am - 3:00pm

Duration: Full Academic Year | Potential to Become Permanent

Pay: £172.98 - £200 per day (dependent on experience)

Empowering Learning are working in partnership with a welcoming secondary school in Cardiff to recruit an enthusiastic and dedicated QTS Science Teacher for a full-time position starting in September.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a supportive Science department for the full academic year, with the potential for the role to become permanent for the right candidate.

The Role

You will be responsible for delivering engaging and inspiring Science lessons to students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, creating a positive learning environment where all pupils are encouraged to achieve their full potential.

The Successful Candidate Will Have:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

Experience teaching Science across KS3 and KS4.

Excellent classroom management skills.

A genuine passion for Science and inspiring young people.

The ability to plan, deliver and assess high-quality lessons.

Strong communication and organisational skills.

Requirements:

An Enhanced DBS Certificate registered on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.

Two professional references covering your recent employment.

The right to work in the UK.
