As a Secondary Supply Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective lessons while ensuring continuity of learning during staff absences. Depending on the assignment, responsibilities may include:

• Delivering pre-planned lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with Key Stage 5 opportunities available in some schools.
• Adapting teaching methods to meet the needs of students with varying abilities and learning styles.
• Creating a positive, inclusive and engaging classroom environment where students feel supported and motivated.
• Managing classroom behaviour in line with each school's policies and expectations.
• Encouraging student participation, progress and achievement throughout each lesson.
• Providing feedback to the class teacher or department following the completion of lessons.
• Building positive relationships with students, teaching staff and senior leadership teams.

Long-term positions may also involve planning lessons, marking work, attending departmental meetings and participating in wider school activities.

Successful candidates will have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), QTLS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Recent experience teaching within UK secondary schools.
• Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Strong communication and organisational abilities.
• A flexible, adaptable and professional approach to teaching.
• A genuine passion for education and supporting young people to achieve their full potential.
• An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one.
• Satisfactory references covering recent employment history.
