ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

Prospero Teaching is seeking a Complex SEN Tutor to provide 1:1 support for pupils across Havering. This role involves working with Primary and Secondary-aged learners, delivering tailored sessions in English, Maths, and SEN support.

As a Complex SEN Tutor, you will work with students who may have Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, learning difficulties, or other additional needs. Many pupils may be out of education or accessing alternative provision, requiring personalised support to build confidence, engagement, and academic progress.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced teacher or tutor looking to provide meaningful, individualised learning outside of a traditional classroom environment.

CONTRACT / POSITION DETAILS

• Location: Havering (RM postcode area)
• Position: Complex SEN Tutor
• Type of Work: 1:1 Tuition and SEN Support
• Subjects: English, Maths and SEN Intervention
• Key Stages: Primary and Secondary
• Start Date: ASAP
• Duration: Ongoing
• Contract Type: Temporary
• Hours: Part-Time, 10-15 hours per week
• Rate of Pay: From 25 per hour

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

• QTS, QTLS, PGCE, SEN qualification, or equivalent
• Experience supporting pupils with SEND and complex needs
• Experience teaching or tutoring English and Maths
• Minimum 6 months' experience in a UK educational setting
• Safeguarding training (desirable but not essential)

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

• Hold the Right to Work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS on the Update Service, or be willing to obtain one
• Provide two child-related professional references covering the last two years
