Quantity Surveyor

Location: Plymouth

Rate: £60-65 per hour (37-hour week)

IR35: Outside IR35

Duration: 12 months

A major engineering consultancy is looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to support a portfolio of civil engineering and nuclear infrastructure projects at a secure site near Plymouth.

Working as part of a multi-disciplinary project team, you'll be responsible for the commercial management of projects from inception through to final account. Key duties will include:

Contract administration (NEC)

Managing subcontractor accounts,

Assessing and negotiating compensation events,

Preparing valuations and forecasts,

Cost reporting,

Risk management

Providing project teams with commercial advice.

Requirements:

Previous Quantity Surveying experience within the defence, nuclear or civil engineering sectors.

Strong working knowledge of NEC contracts.

Experience managing costs, change control and commercial reporting throughout the project lifecycle.

Due to security clearance requirements, applicants must have been born in the UK and hold a valid British passport.

This is an excellent opportunity to secure a long-term outside IR35 contract with a globally recognised engineering consultancy delivering an exciting, major project in the South West.
