Tasks: Design, deploy, and manage secure wireless LAN solutions in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
Design, deploy, and manage wireless LAN solutions, ensuring optimal performance and security.
Implement and maintain Firewall solutions, including configurations from perimeter to DMZ roles.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support IPS deployments across European branches.
Develop and enforce global standards for networking devices and configurations.
Conduct and remediate findings from penetration tests and security assessments.
Lead the migration of network infrastructure to align with new security frameworks.
Perform site surveys and RF planning using tools like Ekahau or AirMagnet.
Required Skills and Experience
Proven experience in wireless network the organisation within banking or similarly regulated sectors.
In-depth knowledge of networking technology wireless the organisation, including multi-layer Switches and Routers (e.g., networking technology 6500 series).
Strong understanding of VLAN segregation, DMZ configurations, VSS, OSPF, and high-availability setups.
Hands-on experience with security tools such as McAfee HIPS, Trend Micro, SafeNet Ethernet Encryptor, and Tripwire.
Familiarity with centralized authentication services (AAA), RADIUS, and RSA.
Experience with network automation tools and Scripting languages like Python, configuration automation tooling, or infrastructure automation tooling is advantageous.
Preferred Certifications
networking technology Certifications: CCNA, CCNP, or CCIE in Wireless or Enterprise Infrastructure.
CWNP Certifications: CWNA, CWSP, CWDP, or CWNE.
Other: ITIL V3 Foundation, JNCIA, or JNCIS.
Desirable Attributes
Experience in high-density Wi-Fi deployments, preferably in large venues or arenas.
Ability to lead and coordinate wireless network projects from conception to completion.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to network optimization.
Excellent communication skills to liaise with stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
