Contract: Temp-Perm (initial 3-month temporary period)
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join a well-established building services contractor based in Shepperton.
You will be joining a supportive design team, working closely with their team to produce drawings, calculations, and technical documentation for live projects.

As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be:
Producing detailed 2D mechanical layout drawings using AutoCAD.
Using Hevacomp software to carry out heating and cooling gains and losses calculations.
Preparing and reviewing technical submittals and design documentation.
Completing ductwork and pipework loss calculations.
Supporting project delivery from concept through to completion.
To be successful as the Junior Mechanical Design Engineer, you will need:
Experience using AutoCAD (2D) and Hevacomp. You will be expected to hit the ground running.
Knowledge of mechanical building services design principles.
The ability to prepare accurate and well-presented technical documentation.
Experience within the UK commercial sector, particularly with CAT-A and CAT-B fit-outs.
Strong knowledge of CIBSE standards and UK building regulations.
Mechanical Design Engineer will be on £310-360 a day / £40-£50 ph DOE, depending on experience, with the opportunity for permanent employment after 3 months + Progression.
