Joiner

Location: Glasgow

Rate: £21.00 per hour PAYE

Contract: 6 Months+

Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00-15:30

Ganymede Solutions are recruiting for an experienced Joiner to join a leading rail infrastructure maintenance team based in Glasgow.

This is an excellent opportunity to secure a long-term contract working across railway stations and associated buildings, carrying out a variety of maintenance and refurbishment activities.

The Role

As a Joiner, you will be responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of railway station buildings and facilities, ensuring they remain safe, compliant and fit for purpose.

Duties will include:

General joinery maintenance and repair works

Repair and replacement of doors, locks and door furniture

Repairs to station buildings, roofing, guttering and drainage systems

Painting, filling and plastering where required

Carrying out reactive and planned maintenance tasks

Supervising subcontractors on site

Completing and checking site documentation and paperwork

Working in line with health and safety procedures at all times

Requirements

To be considered for this position, you will ideally have:

City & Guilds qualification in Joinery (or equivalent recognised qualification)

Previous experience in maintenance, construction or facilities environments

Full UK Driving Licence

Access to your own vehicle

PTS certification desirable but not essential

Ability to start within one week's notice
