Job Overview:
As a Design and Technology (DT) Technician, you will play a key role in supporting the DT department by preparing materials, maintaining equipment, and ensuring a safe and efficient workshop environment. The ideal DT Technician will have practical knowledge of workshop tools and machinery, along with strong organisational skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain materials and equipment for DT lessons.
• Assist the DT department in setting up practical sessions.
• Ensure the DT workshop is clean, safe, and well-organised.
• Maintain and service DT machinery and tools.
• Support health and safety compliance within the DT department.
• Collaborate with teachers and pupils to facilitate practical learning.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Design and Technology (DT) Technician or similar role preferred.
• Good practical knowledge of workshop tools, machinery, and materials.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Understanding of health and safety regulations in a school environment.
