Maintenance Assistant / Handyperson

Temporary Contract - 2 Weeks
14.42 per hour (PAYE)

Daniel Owen are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Assistant / Handyperson on behalf of our client, supporting the engineering team at a large industrial facility in Leeds.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a hands-on approach and experience carrying out general maintenance and DIY tasks within commercial or industrial environments.

The Role

Working alongside the on-site engineering team, you will provide additional support across the facility, assisting with a variety of general maintenance duties to help ensure the site remains safe, functional, and well maintained.

This is a Monday to Friday position, working 7:00am - 3:00pm.

Key Responsibilities

• Assisting the engineering team with day-to-day maintenance tasks
• Carrying out general DIY and handyperson duties
• Supporting with basic repairs and upkeep across the site
• Moving materials and equipment as required
• Ensuring work areas are kept clean, safe, and organised
• Providing general assistance to support the smooth running of the facility

Requirements

• Previous experience in a Maintenance Assistant, Handyperson, or similar role
• Good practical DIY skills
• Experience working within commercial or industrial environments is desirable
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• A proactive and reliable approach to work
