Joiner

Location: Glasgow

Rate: £21.00 per hour PAYE

Contract: 6 Months+

Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00-15:30

Ganymede Solutions are recruiting for an experienced Joiner to join a leading rail infrastructure maintenance team based in Glasgow.

This is an excellent opportunity to secure a long-term contract working across railway stations and associated buildings, carrying out a variety of maintenance and refurbishment activities.

The Role

As a Joiner, you will be responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of railway station buildings and facilities, ensuring they remain safe, compliant and fit for purpose.

Duties will include:

• General joinery maintenance and repair works
• Repair and replacement of doors, locks and door furniture
• Repairs to station buildings, roofing, guttering and drainage systems
• Painting, filling and plastering where required
• Carrying out reactive and planned maintenance tasks
• Supervising subcontractors on site
• Completing and checking site documentation and paperwork
• Working in line with health and safety procedures at all times

Requirements

To be considered for this position, you will ideally have:

• City & Guilds qualification in Joinery (or equivalent recognised qualification)
• Previous experience in maintenance, construction or facilities environments
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Access to your own vehicle
• PTS certification desirable but not essential
• Ability to start within one week's notice
