Project Manager - Water Infrastructure

Are you an experienced Project Manager with a background in water infrastructure looking to take ownership of a high-profile utility diversion project?Currently recruiting for a Project Manager to lead the delivery of Thames Water diversion works as part of the HS2 programme. This is an opportunity to play a key role on one of the UK's largest infrastructure schemes, managing complex stakeholder relationships while ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme and commercially successfully.

The Role

As Project Manager, you'll have full responsibility for delivering Thames Water diversion works, managing the project from pre-construction through to completion. Working alongside internal teams, clients and key delivery partners, you'll ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards.

This is a varied role requiring strong leadership, commercial awareness and the ability to manage multiple interfaces across a live major infrastructure environment.

Key Responsibilities

·Lead the safe delivery of water infrastructure projects in line with HS2, Thames Water and company standards.

·Manage project programmes, resources and budgets to achieve successful project outcomes.

·Build and maintain strong relationships with Clients, designers, subcontractors and key stakeholders.

·Oversee commercial performance, including change control, compensation events and cost management.

·Ensure quality documentation, inspections and project records are completed accurately.

·Coordinate labour, plant, subcontractors and materials to meet programme milestones.

·Identify and mitigate project risks while driving continuous improvement across delivery.

·Lead, mentor and develop project teams, promoting a positive safety and performance culture.

About You

We're looking for someone who can confidently lead complex water infrastructure projects and build strong relationships with clients and delivery teams.

You'll ideally have:

·Proven experience managing large-scale water infrastructure projects.

·Strong knowledge of NEC contracts.

·Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

·Commercial awareness with experience managing project budgets.

·Strong planning, reporting and programme management skills.

·Ability to manage multiple priorities within complex project environments.

Desirable Experience

·Experience working on HS2 or other major infrastructure programmes.

·Knowledge of Thames Water standards and procedures.

·Utility diversion experience.

·Temporary Works awareness.

·Street Works and utility coordination experience.

Qualifications

Essential

·HNC/HND or Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or similar.

·SMSTS.

·CSCS Manager Card.

·Full UK Driving Licence.

Desirable

·Temporary Works Coordinator Training
