2391 Electrician needed in Plymouth close to, Cornwall, Torquay, Devon, Dartmouth and Exeter

M&E Giants Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced 2391 Testing Electrician to join a well-established electrical contractor covering Plymouth and Cornwall.

This is an excellent opportunity to secure a long-term contract (6-12 months minimum) with the potential for ongoing work. You'll be provided with a company van, fuel card, test equipment and IT equipment, allowing you to carry out planned electrical inspection and testing across a variety of commercial sites throughout the region.

This is a mobile "man and van" role, ideal for someone who enjoys working independently while covering multiple client locations.

The Role

* Carrying out Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs)

* Inspection and testing of commercial electrical installations

* Diagnosing electrical faults and identifying remedial works

* Completing digital test certificates and inspection reports

* Travelling between commercial sites across Plymouth and Cornwall

* Working independently while maintaining high standards of workmanship and safety

* Using company-supplied testing and IT equipment

Requirements

* City & Guilds 2391 Inspection & Testing (or equivalent)

* 18th Edition Wiring Regulations

* ECS Gold Card (essential)

* Full UK Driving Licence (essential)

* Previous commercial testing experience

* Ability to work independently and manage your own workload

Pay Rates

* Basic: £27.00 per hour

* Overtime A: £33.00 per hour

* Overtime B: £38.00 per hour

Working Hours

* Monday to Friday

* 08:00 – 16:00

* 37.5 hours per week

* Additional weekday hours (up to 8:00pm) paid at the basic hourly rate

* Night shifts (8:00pm – 6:00am) paid at £33.00 per hour

* Saturdays paid at £33.00 per hour

* Sundays paid at £38.00 per hour
