Electrician needed in Southampton, Hampshire close to, Portsmouth, Winchester, Bournemouth, Brighton, Salisbury and Chichester.

M&E Giants Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced 2391 Testing Electrician to join a well-established electrical contractor carrying out inspection and testing across Southampton and the surrounding areas.

This is an excellent opportunity to secure a long-term ongoing contract carrying out planned electrical inspection and testing across a variety of schools, office buildings and commercial premises.

This is a field-based role, travelling between commercial sites to complete Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) and associated testing. Mileage is paid for travel, however, due to the nature of the role, your own vehicle is essential.

The Role

* Carry out Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) on commercial properties.

* Test and inspect electrical installations in accordance with BS 7671.

* Complete electrical testing within schools, offices and other commercial buildings.

* Identify electrical defects and recommend remedial works where required.

* Complete electronic certification and testing documentation.

* Travel between multiple commercial sites across Southampton and surrounding areas.

* Maintain high standards of health, safety and workmanship.

* Work independently whilst providing a professional service to clients.

Requirements

* City & Guilds 2391 Inspection & Testing – Essential

* 18th Edition Wiring Regulations – Essential

* ECS Gold Card – Essential

* Previous experience carrying out commercial electrical testing.

* Full UK Driving Licence.

* Own Vehicle Required.

* Strong knowledge of BS 7671 and electrical inspection procedures.

* Ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
