Role: Sales Support Assistant (Temp to Perm)

Location: Bedford

Hours: Full Time 39.5 hours per week (Fully Office Based)

Salary: £16.00 per hour (£33,000 per annum)

OA are recruiting for a Sales Support Assistant to join an established and successful business in Bedford on a Temp to Perm basis.

You'll start on a temporary contract with the opportunity to become a permanent employee following a successful probationary period.

This is a busy and varied role where no two days are the same. If you enjoy speaking to people, are naturally curious and thrive in a fast-paced environment, we'd love to hear from you.

Once fully trained, you'll be responsible for processing up to 90 customer orders every day, so you'll need to be highly organised with excellent attention to detail.

What you'll be doing

  • Speaking with customers by phone and email.
  • Preparing and following up quotations.
  • Processing customer orders accurately.
  • Managing customer accounts and building relationships.
  • Liaising with UK and European suppliers.
  • Chasing outstanding quotations and opportunities.
  • Upselling additional products where appropriate.
  • Keeping customer records up to date.
  • Supporting the wider sales team.
  • Processing up to 90 customer orders per day once trained.

What we're looking for

  • Previous Sales Support, Sales Administration or Customer Service experience.
  • Someone who enjoys speaking to people and building relationships.
  • Naturally curious with a desire to understand customers' needs.
  • Able to work confidently in a busy, fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and organisation skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Positive, proactive and a great team player.
