TeacherActive is proud to be working with a welcoming mainstream primary school in Ripley that is looking for an energetic Learning Support Assistant to join its team. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference within an inclusive and supportive school environment.

The successful Learning Support Assistant will work full-time from 8:30am to 3:30pm, from September 2026 until July 2027. You will provide dedicated 1:1 support for a Year 2 child with autism / ASD and challenging behaviour, using engaging activities, clear routines and plenty of encouragement to help them enjoy learning and achieve their best.

The successful Learning Support Assistant will have:

• A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable

• Experience supporting children with autism / ASD

• Experience managing challenging behaviour positively and consistently

• The ability to make learning fun, accessible and engaging

• A patient, resilient and enthusiastic approach

• Strong communication and teamwork skills
